Online Registration and licensure System

TO ALL NURSES AND MIDWIVES

Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) has ceased physical registration and renewal of professional and private practice.  All cadres of nursing and midwifery profession seeking registration and renewal are encouraged to apply online.  This comprises candidate for private practice as well as nurses and midwives with Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters, and PHD preparation.

You must upload your authentic, properly scanned original academic and professional documents, as well as passport size photo, in order to be registered/licensed.  Nurses and Midwives with Bachelor degrees who have completed their internships satisfactorily must upload proof of the completion of the internship.

All Bachelor Nurses and Midwives who finished their internship should login to UNMC registration portal www.registration.unmc.ug for registration.

To prevent delays with your registration, you should ensure that the following are considered:

  1. Results from the last/final semester must be indicated in the testimonial or transcript.
  2. The practicing license offered for registration must be valid (if expired should first apply for renewal)
  3. Those applicants who took the UNMEB Exam more than once in the final semester, should upload all examination cards for each sitting as one document.
  4. The passport photo should be coloured, 50X55mm in size, have decent clothing on a white background, and be posted as a JPEG, JPG or PNG file.
  5. After uploading your documents, the UNMC team will review and approve your application in not less than 3 days.
